At Longney, our science curriculum aims to equip our pupils with the scientific knowledge they need to understand the world as well as the scientific enquiry skills to be curious and find out their own answers to key questions. Each half term, the children gain new knowledge through investigation in to an enquiry question as a class. These questions are planned carefully to cover the national curriculum. The scientific enquiry skills are also plotted carefully to ensure progression across the key stages and so that the staff and children have a shared language to use.
Please click on our two-year rolling programme below for more information. We have also included some examples of knowledge organisers so that you can see the key knowledge we have chosen to share with the children.
